Valdres Golf is a gem among golf-courses, beautifully located next to the Aurdal
Fjord in Vestringsbygda, 12 kilometres from Fagernes. This is the only golf-course in Valdres and you must either travel far south or into a neighboring valley to find other golfing possibilities.
The course was designed by the Scottish architect Jeremy Turner and opened in 2003.
At that point the course was 5.758 metres long, par 72 with yellow and red tee-offs. From the season 2021 parts of the course have been changed. You can now play two different trails: Black trail is par 73 and 5.726 metres. White trail is par 72 and 4.811 metres. Another novelty is that men and women hit out from the same tee-off. This is adjusted through the player’s handicap and allowed strokes. In addition there is a green trail with par 66.
The property consists of a 9-hole course, with two 18 tee-off trails, driving range and practice area with putting-green and sand-bunker. The clubhouse has a café and pro-shop. The café serves home-made dishes, both outside and inside. The proshop has a wide selection of golf-equipment and amenities. We also offer rental of golf-cars and equipment. The course is of very high standard and the fairways are known to be some of the best ones you can encounter in south-eastern Norway. We have a relaxed and caring atmosphere and do everything possible to make our guests feel welcome.
